Think 360°

Think 360°

Earlier this season we went out and filmed a couple of short clips together with the NAC (NorthernAlpsCollective) Crew, using special camera rigs that allowed us to record the action with a 360° panoramic view! Finally, after months of post-processing, we are able to show you the finished product.

Liberty Team Week

Liberty Team Week

Late January, I was invited to spend a week in Ischgl with the Liberty Skis family for a week of relaxed powderturns, occasional aprés-ski, great new friendships, exciting plans for the future, interesting conversations and a couple of photoshoots in between. Check out some pictures from Liberty's very own Tom Winter:

Chasing Snow

Chasing Snow

The past weeks have been pretty dry in my home mountains while the southern alps consistently got hammered with snow. That's why at some point I packed all my gear and a handful of good friends into my car and drove it to the other side of the mountains where we found a nice little hut to stay in for a couple of days. Check out some of the amazing pictures Christoph Oberschneider took of this trip.

SNOWvember

SNOWvember

HOLY MOLY - the snow conditions literally went from zero to hero within a couple of days! Fortunately, the first big snow of the season came just in time for the opening weekend of my home mountain. With over a meter of fresh snow in the infamous enchanted forest, skiing laps through the trees didn't feel like early season anymore! When the sun came out after 3 days of constant snowfalls everything looked like a winter-wonderland and the mountains were loaded with snow. Check out the quick edit I've made with some helmet-cam footage from last week:

Be careful what you wish for...

Be careful what you wish for...

...you just might get it! Last week I closed my blog with a wishful "Bring on Winter 2013/14!" and seven days later we already plow through knee-deep blower gasping for air between turns. I am starting to like this new season A LOT. So winter is here in the Eastern Alps and I strongly recommend you to go out there and ski! But be careful, the snowpack is still relatively thin and many rocks or fallen over trees are still barely covered.
